Himura Kenshin
Kenshin has a sort of "two-sided" personality. Normally, he is extremely polite, formal, helpful and well-mannered. This personality holds until he becomes angry or is engaged in battle. Here, in order to remain focus, he tends to hide his emotions and become sort of cold-hearted. Kenshin's two personalities are driven by his sense of justice. He cannot stand to see people being oppressed and taken advantage of.
Kamiya Kaoru
Kaoru, like Kenshin, has a double personality. She can be a quite loving personality and tends to care for everyone. However, when teaching, fighting or angered, she is extremely fiery. Her greatest problem is when it comes to love. She loves Kenshin but it takes a long time for her to express her romantic feelings towards him.
Sanosuke Sagara
Sanosuke has a wild personality. He is sometimes rash and does not seem to think things through especially when he gets angry. Despite this, he is an extremely good friend and is willing to help anyone who needs help. When Sanosuke was around 7 or 8 years old, he was a member of a group which was established by the Royalist with the purpose of gathering the support of the people. During his time has a member of this group, Sanosuke was cared for by the leader of the group. In fact, the leader(Captain Sagara) was an inspiration to Sanosuke. One day however, the group was destroyed by the Royalists and Captain Sagara was killed. From then on, Sanosuke grew up with a hatred for the Meiji government. This hatred was to continue until he met Kenshin and fought him.
Yahiko Myoujin
He has a lot of pride in himself and is mature well beyond his physical age. The problem is that he is hot tempered. However, he has a good heart and will do anything to help anyone in distress.
Mugumi Takani
She is overall a nice and very caring person. However, she likes to flirt alot especially with Kenshin. Also, she sometimes has conflict with Sanosuke.
